CEO & Founder of Gilwa Consulting Inc. (GCI), Thomas (TJ) Nyce has led key roles in the construction industry for over 20 years both in the construction field & in the board room. Thomas is proudly Indigenous with both US & Canadian citizenship. His multi-ethnic background, experience in the construction industry, & relationship-based approach to business has propelled him to successfully operate GCI.

Originally from BC’s Pacific northwest, Thomas has family roots in the Kitimat & Terrace regions directly with the Haisla & Kitselas peoples. Having lived throughout BC & Alberta, Thomas is extremely familiar with the socio economic & political landscapes in western Canada & the challenges experienced by Indigenous peoples, industry, & government.
His background in the trades allows for practical solutions for day-to-day operators & his experience in business relations allows him to communicate strategic opportunities to improve organizational direction. Focused on a value-based business approach, Thomas can simplify & define resolution in a logical & systematic approach that recognizes cultural differences while finding alignment with desired outcome.

Currently Thomas resides in Kelowna, BC in the traditional territory of the Syilx Okanagan people.

Stephanie Nyce - Haylth-Das-Thle-Thle-Gah-Joo
Executive Administrator
Stephanie joined Gilwa Consulting Inc. (GCI) in June 2020 in the role of Executive Administrator.
​
As Executive Administrator she performs a variety of financial, administrative, & clerical tasks related to the daily operational needs of GCI. Her entrepreneurial background & attention to detail has allowed her to adapt to GCI’s fast paced work environment. In 2022, Stephanie also assumed the role of Project Manager for the Storybook Project.
​
Proudly, Stephanie was born & raised in Kitimat, BC. In 2022 she was officially welcomed into the Haisla Nation through the Blackfish Clan & given the name Haylth-Das-Thle-Thle-Gah-Joo, translating to “beautiful star”.
​
Currently Stephanie resides in Kelowna, BC in the traditional territory of the Syilx Okanagan people.
Shiloh Nyce - Mahgwees
Artistic Director
Shiloh joined Gilwa Consulting Inc. (GCI) in January 2022 in a consulting role as Artistic Director for GCI's Storybook Project.
​
In her role, Shiloh works closely with the Storybook Project team to realize the artistic vision set out for the first children's book that will reveal the commonalities of Indigenous traditional practices & values between Indigenous & non-Indigenous peoples alike. Through collaboration with the Storybook Project team & her experience as a mother, actress, writer, & musician Shiloh composed our first narrative story through personal & professional reflections as an Indigenous person.

Originally from BC’s pacific Northwest Haisla Nation, Shiloh inherited her Indigenous name Mahgwees, translating to “Snag on the Beach”, from her great grandmother, who is one of the appointed peaks in the Seven Sisters Mountain range south of Kitwanga, BC.
​
Currently, Shiloh lives in Midvale, Utah the traditional territory of the Shoshone, Paiute, Goshute, and Ute people.
